Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Arsenal is a topic of discussion and if this materialises, well Daniel Levy will be livid at Tottenham Hotspur..

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Arsenal are now interested in signing Milinkovic-Savic.

The Italian outlet claims that the Gunners are weighing up a £51 million offer for the long-term Tottenham target.

And if he winds up on the red side of the North London divide, well Levy might well be furious.

That’s because Spurs’ interest in the Serbia international goes back quite a while.

Back in 2018, The Mirror reported that Levy was plotting a £100 million offer to sign Lazio duo Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile.

And then in 2020, Foot Mercato reported that the Lilywhites were still interested in the midfielder.

As recently as April, it was claimed that Tottenham would be trying again this summer.

And that’s why it’ll leave a bitter taste in Levy’s mouth if Arsenal – their local rivals – wind up signing the powerhouse.

You have to say that if Spurs are genuinely interested, they have the advantage of boasting Champions League football.

And it remains to be seen if the Emirates Stadium outfit are even interested.

But transfers are often decided by how much a club wants to sign a certain player and if Mikel Arteta and Edu show they want him more than their North London rivals then a switch to the Gunners cannot be discounted.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Arsenal is a growing possibility but it’s still in Levy’s hands.
