Another winger may be targeted if Pochettino has money to spend, and fans have been drawn to a story emanating from Spain, with AS reporting that Atletico Madrid have decided they will cash in on winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
The Belgian – an international teammate of Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele – has notched 22 goals in 114 games for Atletico since his 2015 move from Monaco, but is now heading for the exit door.
Despite some lingering concerns over his attitude, Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to urge the club to move quickly and sign Carraso, even sending messages to the club’s official Twitter account.
Others believe that Pochettino could be superb under Pochettino and can settle in with Alderweireld and Vertonghen, urging chairman Daniel Levy to splash the cash and bring Carrasco to North London in 2018.
