There’s no denying that Gareth Bale has gotten a lot better at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 31-year-old has netted six goals in his last eight games across all competitions, as well as registering three assists.
For so long it looked like Spurs’ decision to bring him back on a season-long loan from Real Madrid was a poor one.
But the Welshman is certainly playing like a man who wants to be with the North Londoners next season and according to Eurosport, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who has the option of a second loan, is keen to keep him, too.
The report adds that Levy ‘dreams’ of seeing Bale celebrate in front of the home fans at a packed-out Tottenham Hotspur stadium next term.
He is one of the club’s all-time best players but due to the pandemic, he is yet to play in the Lilywhites’ £1 billion stadium at full capacity.
But it seems like Levy is personally invested in seeing supporters of the North London outfit experience Bale’s return in the flesh.
He struggled in a big way against Arsenal in the 2-1 derby defeat at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday, but Jose Mourinho is likely to keep Bale in his first XI for when they visit Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League tomorrow.
