Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up their summer transfer plans and a move for Wilfried Zaha hangs in the balance.
Crystal Palace are determined to hold onto the winger, while The Telegraph report chairman Daniel Levy is hesitating over a move.
He believes that together with the finances required to seal a move, Zaha is an ‘unappealing prospect’ because he will play in the mid-season African Cup of Nations tournament every two years.
With this stance in mind, midfielder Jean Seri may also fall off Tottenham’s radar.

The Guardian report Spurs are in the hunt to sign the 25-year-old Nice midfielder, who is rated at £20 million.
Seri has scored six goals and provided nine assists this season to help Ligue 1’s surprise package rise to third place.
Spurs and rivals Arsenal are both claimed to have sent scouts to watch him in action, but a move to sign him could be blighted by similar concerns to Zaha.

Seri is also an Ivory Coast international, and would cost a substantial fee. If Tottenham sign one, it is less likely they move for the other, as they would not want to see two key players departing mid-season.
Of the two it is Zaha who should be a bigger priority than Seri. The Crystal Palace winger has Premier League experience and plays in a position where Spurs are weaker than the one Seri would slot into in central midfield.
Tottenham’s concerns over the African Cup of Nations are understandable but they with no tournament until 2019, they would be in the clear next season if they chose to take the plunge on either player.
