‘Levy better have a buy-back’: Some Spurs fans react to 23-year-old’s display last night

Tottenham fans on Twitter were pretty impressed with Kyle Walker-Peters performance for Southampton last night.

The 23-year-old Tottenham academy product helped his side record a 1-0 win over current leaders Liverpool.

It was just the simple task of having to mark Sadio Mane and Spurs fans liked what they saw from their former player.

In the summer, Walker-Peters was involved in a swap deal which saw Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg move to North London and the right-back move to the South Coast.

Whilst Tottenham fans are delighted with what Hojbjerg has produced, some fans feel Walker-Peters is perhaps better than the current senior right-back’s Jose Mourinho has at his disposal.

Matt Doherty made his own switch in the summer from Wolves, but soon found himself out of the starting XI for Serge Aurier.

But Aurier’s penalty woes came back to bite him in the back recently, which saw Doherty return to the starting XI, only for the Irishman to be sent off against Leeds last time out.

Either way, a section of Spurs fans think their former player, who is pushing for, at least, Europe with his new club, is better than those who replaced him:
