Some Liverpool fans on social media have been expressing their admiration for Trent Alexander-Arnold after a Sky Sports graphic highlighted just how good he has been this season.
Strangely, there has been a narrative this term that Alexander-Arnold has been underwhelming this season, but during Liverpool’s game against Manchester United, Sky Sports showed a graphic that completely dispels this myth.
Alexander-Arnold ranks first in the Liverpool squad for chances created, open play crosses and passes into the opposition box, and despite the fact some people continue to question his defensive qualities, he also ranks first for tackles and interceptions.
The full-back may not be crafting assists at the same rate he did last season, but he’s still been an outstanding performer this term, and this graphic had Liverpool fans waxing-lyrical about the defender.
The Anfield faithful were full of praise for Alexander-Arnold, and it’s great to see the full-back getting some much-deserved praise after receiving a lot of undue criticism this term.
