Patryk Klimala has said that Ibrox club Rangers and Celtic will not find it easy in Major League Soccer, as quoted in The Daily Record.
Rangers, now managed by Giovanni van Bronckhorst, and Celtic would not find it easy to win MLS, according to Klimala.
Klimala, who struggled during his spell at Celtic, believes that Rangers and the Hoops will be favourites to win MLS.
However, the 23-year-old Polish striker has said that Major League Soccer is a level above the Scottish Premiership.
Klimala joined Celtic from Jagiellonia Białystok in January 2020 and moved to New York Red Bulls in April 2021 for £3.5 million (The Scottish Sun).
The Daily Record quotes Klimala as saying: “I think Celtic and the Rangers would be favourites to win the league, although I don’t think it would be easy for them to win.
“I am convinced that the overall MLS level is above the Scottish Premiership. Although I rarely played for Celtic, I saw the potential of those teams.
“In Scotland, the physical aspect is dominant. I think that in the USA in every aspect, tactical and technical, the level is higher.”

Interesting take on Rangers and Celtic
Now, we have often heard people talk about Rangers and Celtic potentially playing in the Premier League in England.
Not many have put forward the hypothetical of how Rangers and Celtic would fare in Major League Soccer.
In our view, MLS is more competitive than the Scottish Premiership.
After all, Rangers and Celtic tend to win the title in Scotland all the time.
Is the level of MLS higher than the Scottish Premiership?
Probably.
But no one can say that any club in MLS is bigger and more historic than Rangers and Celtic.
