Tottenham Hotspur no longer own Fernando Llorente, as his contract has expired.

Letting Fernando Llorente go could be a risk for Tottenham Hotspur, unless they sign a striker this summer.
Llorente is no longer a Tottenham player after his contract was allowed to expire.
The 34-year-old is now free to search for a new club, after Mauricio Pochettino decided not to renew the Spaniard’s contract.
Pochettino’s decision puts further pressure on Tottenham to secure attacking additions this summer, as losing Llorente could be a blow otherwise.
Spurs have not made a signing for well over 500 days, but Pochettino’s latest move is a suggestion that he has faith that new arrivals will be coming at White Hart Lane.
If Spurs fail to bring in a new attacker this summer then Llorente’s departure leaves a gaping hole in their squad.
The target-man performed a vital role covering for Harry Kane last season, and without him Tottenham would never have made the Champions League final.

Llorente scored some vital goals for Spurs over the course of the season, and proved that even at 34 he could still make an impact at the top level.
The temptation for Spurs to go out and get a younger striker is obvious, as Llorente is reaching the end of his career.
But there is no guarantees that whoever Tottenham bring in this summer will be able to perform the role of back-up striker as effectively as Llorente did last term.
And Pochettino has taken a leap of faith by letting Llorente go, as his exit could actually weaken Tottenham next term, unless they get their recruitment right this summer.
