The Leeds chairman has asked the club’s fans to welcome Dieng to Elland Road.
Sky Sports have reported that Leeds have agreed a £10 million deal with Marseille for the signing of the Senegal international.
The forward has also been linked with Leeds’s Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
MediaFootMarseille reported last month that Newcastle and West Ham United were competing for the signature of the Senegalese star.
Leeds about to sign Newcastle target Bamba Dieng

Exciting for Elland Road faithful
Leeds United fans should be exiting about the prospect of Bamba Dieng joining the Whites on summer transfer deadline day.
The West Yorkshire club need(ed) to sign a forward this summer to compete with and challenge Patrick Bamford.
The 22-year-old made 11 starts and 14 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Marseille last season.
Dieng scored seven goals and gave one assist in those games.
Leeds will be a better team with Dieng in it.
