Speaking to Di Marzio, Federico Pastorello has been discussing Arthur Melo’s future amid his links to Newcastle United.

The midfielder is reportedly a player the Magpies are very keen on, and according to La Republicca, the Tyneside club could move for him in January.

Interestingly, Pastorello, Arthur’s agent, has suggested that his client would be open for a move, stating that unlike Federico Bernadeschi, Arthur is not happy and that he’ll look for the best solution in January.

What’s been said about Arthur?

Pastorello gave an update on Arthur.

“As for Federico he is happy and concentrated. For Arthur the situation is a bit different: he arrived with another coach and with Allegri he is not finding much space. Let’s see in January, we will look for the best solution taking into account that there is also the World Cup.”

The best solution

Pastorello says that he wants to find the best solution for Arthur with the World Cup in mind, and sadly, that may not be Newcastle.

Think about it, if Arthur wants to go to Qatar, he won’t be able to stake his claim if he’s playing Championship football next season at St James’ Park.

Brazil have so many talented players, and if Arthur isn’t playing at the top-level, he has no chance of making Tite’s squad next winter.

Sevilla are also keen, and while they may not be able to offer the midfielder the financial package he’d get at Newcastle, a move to La Liga may be for the best when it comes to fulfilling his international ambitions.
