Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has made a decent start to his spell in charge at Ibrox.

Gers legend Barry Ferguson spoke exclusively to the Daily Record about Rangers’ start to the season, and highlighted his former club’s away form as something that should be a real concern for Steven Gerrard.

The Glasgow giants currently sit in third position in the Scottish Premiership table, two points adrift of their bitter rivals Celtic at the summit, and at the moment, they are right in the mix in the race for the title.

Gerrard has undoubtedly made a huge difference since taking over at Ibrox, and many Rangers fans are confident that their side will mount a sustained challenge to Celtic’s dominance this season.

Ferguson, who spent 10 years with Rangers over the course of two separate spells, suggested that his former club must improve their away form if they are going to challenge for the title, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Record:

“Games at Ibrox haven’t been an issue, at home Rangers have been excellent but let’s no kid anyone on, the away form has been a concern.”

Rangers welcome Livingstone to Ibrox tomorrow, and nothing less than a win will do, if they are to keep the pressure up on Celtic and Hearts above them in the table.
