Roy Keane was not exactly effusive with his praise of Arsenal after their victory over Manchester United yesterday, through his comments during Sky Sports live Premier League coverage.

Arsenal won 1-0 at Old Trafford yesterday and their display in the contest was a dominant one.

Arsenal seemed to completely eradicate United’s threat, with Mikel Arteta’s tactical plan very impressive.

But Keane was less convinced that Arsenal’s success was entirely down to their quality.

Instead, he feels that United simply made Arsenal’s job far too easy for them.

“This Arsenal team have already lost three league games, let’s not be kidded on by that,” Keane said.

“I bet these Arsenal players are going back on the bus or whatever private plane they may be on thinking it wasn’t so bad playing at Old Trafford today.

“It was easy for them. The Arsenal players were strolling around. It was easy.”

Arsenal’s win over United has only pushed them up to ninth in the Premier League table, so Keane’s comments suggesting that they may not be the force they once were, could add up.

However, there is plenty for Arsenal fans to be encouraged by under Arteta.

The Spaniard has unquestionably improved the Gunners since his arrival, and with the arrivals of Gabriel and Thomas Partey they have brought in some real quality.

Arsenal may still need to find their attacking groove, but they have proven that they can give every team in the league a real challenge now, and only sit one point away from the top four spots.
