Jude Bellingham and Jacob Ramsey were just some of the players that backed Louie Barry’s loan move from Aston Villa to MK Dons, as they posted on Instagram.

On Tuesday, Villa announced that their 19-year-old striker has made a loan switch to the League One side, after spending last season in the colours of Ipswich Town and Swindon Town.

MK Dons missed out on promotion to the Championship last season, after they were beaten by Wycombe in the semi-finals of the play-offs, who went on to lose against Sunderland at Wembley.

Nonetheless, when Barry’s move was confirmed, several players sent their good wishes to the teenager, with Bellingham posting in the comments section ‘let’s go mucka’, whilst Ramsey added: ‘Good luck bruvaa’.

Another Villa academy star in Finn Azaz, who recently made a loan switch to fellow League One side, Plymouth Argyle, added ‘see you soon, bro’.

ARCHER AHEAD OF BARRY

The past 12 months have been game-changing for Cameron Archer because he has gone from being on-loan at Solihull Moors to now pushing Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings in the first team.

Not so long ago, the 20-year-old was probably behind Barry in the Villa striker pecking order, but all of that has now changed on its head.

Regardless of whether Villa keep Archer on board for next season or send him out on loan to a Championship side, this is a great chance for Barry to prove his worth in England’s third-tier.

If he can score goals on a regular basis in League One, added with possibly helping MK Dons earn promotion, then there is no reason why he can’t take that next step and thrive in the Championship.

Barry is famous for his goal against Liverpool two seasons ago when Villa had to field the kids in the FA Cup, but now it’s time for him to go out of that bubble and elevate his status even further.
