Jordan Henderson has expressed his delight on James Milner’s Instagram after the Liverpool star penned a new contract.
On Monday, Milner signed a one-year contract at Anfield, with Henderson commenting ‘let’s go’ to the contract news.
Liverpool fans will, no doubt, be delighted at Milner extending his stay on Merseyside because the 36-year-old is a valuable member of the team.
But there’s no doubt that the Anfield faithful would want the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane to join them, although, that seems unlikely, especially with the latter.
Nonetheless, when the news about Milner signing a new deal spread, this is how some of the midfielder’s teammates reacted.
Henderson posted on Milner’s IG: “Boom! Let’s go.” Whilst Andy Robertson simply reacted by saying: “JIMMMMMMMMMY”
Youngster Harvey Elliott added ‘love it’, whilst former Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong posted: “The human muscle. Congrats mate.”
MILNER’S ENGINE JUST WON’T STOP
It has been quite an unbelievable career for Milner, who has played for big club after big club and won the lot on the domestic stage.
From starting out as a fresh-faced teenager at Leeds United, who at the time were in the Champions League.
To lifting the trophy itself on Merseyside in the colours of Liverpool many years later.
When Milner hangs up his boots, then there is no doubt that he will go down as a Premier League legend.
