Tottenham Hotspur fans are loving the fact that Mauricio Pochettino has been in touch with Ryan Mason before his managerial bow.
Following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, Spurs opted to turn to their former player, Mason, as their temporary coach until the end of the season.
In preparation for what will be a hectic and potentially drama-filled week for the 29-year-old, Mason shared that he spoke with Pochettino.
Mason told his pre-match press conference that he ‘exchanged messages’ with the PSG boss and that he still ‘loves’ the club.
Given that Tottenham fans have been knocked down a fair few times this season, those comments have lifted them.
And they need that ahead of a massive week for the club.
It all starts tonight in Mason’s managerial bow as Spurs take on Southampton in the Premier League.
But then it’s the big one, it’s the League Cup final against Manchester City, with Mason preparing to pit his young and inexperienced wits against one of the greats in Pep Guardiola.
