Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Luis Suarez is likely to start for Atletico Madrid at Anfield tonight, according to the Mirror.
This will be the latest return to Merseyside for Suarez and he will be hoping his Atletico Madrid side inflict another Champions League defeat on the free-scoring Premier League side.
The last time Diego Simeone’s side rocked up to Liverpool, they walked away as winners, only for the Coronavirus pandemic to then shut down the world days later.
But during Liverpool’s last outing against them, Mo Salah caused havoc as they walked away from the Wanda Metropolitano with all three points.
And now Liverpool fans aren’t too fussed that Suarez, who was on the bench for last month’s encounter, could be starting tonight.
They have welcomed the thought of Virgil van Dijk pitting his defensive qualities up against the 34-year-old.
One thing is for sure, if Suarez does start, then he will bring added drama to the field and upset a few people along the way.
It will also be interesting to see what type of reception he gets from the Anfield faithful, especially at full-time.
