Darren Bent has told talkSPORT that he would ‘let go’ Arsenal duo Sokratis and Calum Chambers amid claims that they could be leaving Arsenal.
The former striker denied claims that Chambers potentially being sold by Arsenal would be a ‘shock’ because he thinks, along with Sokratis, the duo ‘aren’t going to feature’ in the coming months for the club.
The Times recently claimed that Sokratis could find that his contract at Arsenal could be terminated, whilst Chambers is currently on the sidelines with an injury.
Nonetheless, after Bent was told about Sokratis and Chambers’s futures being in doubt, he issued this response.
“Yes, I would be [in favour of them leaving],” said Bent.
Former Crystal Palace and Newcastle player Darren Ambrose then interrupted Bent and said: “Chambers, Chambers? It’s a shock a little bit?”
Bent then added: “Not so much for me. There were times when he was playing well and he was in the team. But him and Sokratis, I would let them go. They are not going to feature. We are still quite centre-back heavy.”

Just like Mesut Ozil, the signs are pretty clear for someone like Sokratis and his future in North London.
He was another name that was left out of Arsenal’s Premier League squad and it’s pretty clear that it’s just a matter of time before he heads for the exit door.
But as for Chambers, it will be interesting to see where he fits in when he returns because Mikel Arteta is still top-heavy in the central-defensive department.
