Tim Sherwood told Premier League Productions (04/04/21 at 2:00 pm) that Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was taking interest in Chelsea’s heavy defeat on Saturday despite his comments beforehand.
Prior to Tottenham’s 2-2 draw at St James’ Park, Mourinho dismissed claims that he took an ‘interest’ in Chelsea’s surprise defeat against Sam Allardyce’s relegation-threatened side.
But Sherwood thinks Mourinho was ‘the biggest West Brom fan’ yesterday, as his Tottenham side failed to capitalise on those dropped points from their London rivals.
“Jose just said there that ‘there was no interest in the Chelsea game yesterday’,” said Sherwood.
“Let me tell you, he was the biggest West Brom fan you would have ever seen yesterday.
“When they are knocking five in against his old team, Chelsea, it’s a huge result for Tottenham.”

There were sure to be twists and turns when football resumed after the international break and it came with a big bang at Stamford Bridge.
West Brom putting five past Tuchel’s previously defensively strong Chelsea side changed the tide for those wanting to finish in the top four and those wanting to survive.
Three points would have put Spurs into fourth place, but instead, they are now two points behind their neighbours with a better goal difference.
