Young talent Ursene Mouanda has signed a deal with Kilmarnock after leaving Rangers.

The Ivory Coast born teenager signed with Rangers on deadline day last year on a six-month contract, having been spotted in English non-league football by Mark Warburton’s scouting team.

He reverted back to playing non-league football to keep his fitness up in the second half of the season, and took part in PFA Scotland exit trials in June.

He has now signed a deal with Kilmarnock after making a strong impression.

There is still plenty of work to do for the youngster, who moved to Newcastle at the age of five.

But this is a positive step for his career and his spell at Rangers helped put him on the map.

Having been given a second chance with a Scottish Premiership club, Mouanda will be even more determined to be a success.
