John Terry was brought to Aston Villa from Chelsea earlier this summer.
Leroy Rosenior has criticised John Terry’s start at Aston Villa on the Totally Football Show podcast.
Terry has been returning to Chelsea to help his recovery after games, and using the facilities at Stamford Bridge.
However, Rosenior does not believe that Villa should be returning to his former club in midweek.
“John Terry is still having ice baths at Stamford Bridge. Just leave it,” Rosenior said.
“He does three days at Villa, and does his recovery at Stamford Bridge. He’s being spotted in the ice bath with the Chelsea players still. He’s got to let it go. He’s a Villa player. He’s supposed to be captain.”
Terry has endured a miserable start to life at Villa since moving to Chelsea, with Steve Bruce’s side’s having a disappointing opening to the campaign.
Villa could only manage to draw with Hull City in their first league game of the season, and they were comprehensively beaten by Cardiff City at the weekend.
Bruce’s men’s defeat to Cardiff has raised serious questions about whether they have the capabilities to live up to their billing of promotion favourites this term.
Terry has so far looked sluggish and off the pace, but he will have a chance to respond to the criticism later this evening when Villa take on Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
