Tottenham are hoping to sign Tanguy Ndombele. But will they?

Sky Sports reports claiming Tottenham have agreed a £65 million fee with Lyon may be premature.
Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas said that no agreement is yet in place and the transfer could cost Spurs £72 million, The Telegraph report.
Get Football News France has reported that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has successfully sold Spurs to Ndombele. But not everybody is convinced it would be his best move.
French journalist Pierre Maturana who writes for L’Equipe does not believe Ndombele should jump at Tottenham’s offer.
He is quoted by Footradio: “Ndombele in Tottenham? That’s good, but he can find better. Obviously, Tottenham is a good club that makes a good bridge between Lyon and possibly a future big club. But I have the impression that many other top clubs than Tottenham want to reshape their squad this summer.
“We can think of Juve, City, Real … Other clubs can knock on the door for Ndombele. It’s not against Tottenham, who has things to offer to that player. But I’m sure he can get better, and that he’ll have more interesting deals in the future.”

At the moment however, Tottenham are the only bidders for the player.
Interest from rival teams has failed to materialise into something more substantial at this stage.
Like most players, Ndombele should want his future sorted before pre-season begins. It appears he is keen on Tottenham, so chairman Daniel Levy must do everything he can to secure his signature.
