Manchester United are reportedly set to splash £100m on Paul Pogba.
France’s Paul Pogba
According to major French newspaper L’Equipe, Manchester United have agreed a €120m (£100m) deal with Juventus to sign midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Red Devils may have already snapped up defender Eric Bailly, playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but new manager Jose Mourinho appears to be keen on landing one more big signing ahead of his first Premier League campaign as United boss.

For weeks now, speculation has surrounded a move for Juventus star Paul Pogba. The French star was of course on the books at Old Trafford following a 2009 move from Le Havre, but left for Juventus in 2012 having made just seven first-team appearances for United.
Since then, Pogba has become one of the top midfielders in Europe. With remarkable pace and power through the middle, Pogba has been a star for Juventus, whilst also impressing with his ability to score goals from midfield – especially from range – having hit double figures in each of his last two seasons.

Now though, with United looking to splash the cash under Mourinho, re-signing Pogba has become a priority for the Red Devils – and they appear to have made a breakthrough.
French newspaper L’Equipe report that a deal has now been agreed between Juventus and Manchester United for Pogba’s transfer, worth a staggering €120m (£100m), shattering the world record transfer fee.

The report adds that Juventus have accepted Pogba’s request to leave and return to Old Trafford, whilst United have now accepted the demand of €120m, having already had a €101m (£84.5m) bid rejected earlier today.
The move would be a huge coup for United, and it’s stated that Pogba’s move back to United should be finalised in the coming days after a breakthrough in talks today.
