Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with Monaco’s Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window.
According to The Daily Mail, Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Lemar from Monaco this month.
When asked about the possibility of cashing in on Lemar and Monaco’s other big names in January, Jardim said, as quoted by The Daily Mail: “We are not used to selling in the winter. But the transfer window lasts until the end of the month and many things can happen.”
Liverpool have just sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, and the Reds could do with signing a big-name replacement in the January transfer window.
Lemar is one of the best young midfielders in Europe and will certainly enhance the quality of the current Liverpool midfield.
The 22-year-old France international is a very versatile player who can operate on either wing and down the middle, and he will improve under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
As reported by Eurosport, Monaco paid Caen just £3.4 million in 2015 to sign Lemar, whose value has now surely rocketed, given his performances over the past two seasons.
Lemar was a key player in Monaco’s Ligue 1-winning 2016-17 season and has also performed well in the Champions League.
