Should Manchester City make a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose in the summer transfer window?

Former Everton midfielder Leon Osman has told BBC Sport (broadcast from 7pm, June 30, 2017) that he is surprised that Manchester City have not make an approach for Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose in the summer transfer window.

Rose is one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and is an important player for North London club Tottenham.

The 27-year-old has established himself in the Spurs team in recent years and is very popular among the fans.

The England international has had injury issues recently and will miss the start of the 2017-18 campaign, according to The Sun.

Former Everton midfielder Osman has said that he is surprised that Pep Guardiola’s City have not make a move for Rose in the summer transfer window.

“Full-back… I like Danny Rose at the minute,” Osman told BBC Sport (broadcast from 7pm, June 30, 2017) when asked who the best full-back in the Premier League is.

“I think Spurs have got a top-class full-back there, left-back, and I am surprised that, you know, with regards to full-backs being needed at Manchester City that they haven’t enquired about him.”

City have been linked with a move for Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker in the summer transfer window. According to The Independent, the two Premier League clubs have been talking since the end of last season regarding the transfer of the 27-year-old England international defender.
