Everton finished the Premier League season in the top eight after securing a point on the last day of the season.

Leon Osman has stated that Everton have a ‘bright future’ if Marco Silva and Marcel Brands get the recruitment right in the summer, but he did warn that it’ll be ‘tough’.
The Toffees ended the 2018/19 Premier League season in eighth place, a respectable finish considering it was Silva’s first season in charge at Goodison Park and he had to overcome a number of difficult periods.
On the last day of the season, Everton recorded a 2-2 draw at Champions League finalists Tottenham, with Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun getting on the scoresheet.
After the game, former Goodison Park favourite Osman sent these two messages about Silva’s debut campaign on his personal Twitter account.
There is no doubt that the blue half of Merseyside want their team to challenge for those European places and hopefully finish in those places in the near future.
Added with that, trying to push themselves in the cup competitions will be another target for Silva next term, as they suffered a damaging defeat to Millwall in the FA Cup in January.

It remains to be seen what type of players Everton bring into the club, but given their lack of a real goal threat up front, it won’t be a surprise to see a new striker walking through the doors in the summer.
If Silva can sort that area of the pitch out then it would make his team a very dangerous force next season and help them in their quest to push onto the next level.
