Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson has been included in the Premier League Team of the Year ahead of Everton left-back Lucas Digne.

Leon Osman has taken to Twitter to question Lucas Digne’s omission from the PFA Team of the Year.
As ever, the official Premier League XI has caused plenty of consternation on social media with fans arguing about the inclusion of Alisson over Ederson, Sergio Aguero over Mo Salah and, well, the fact that Paul Pogba has been handed a place on the back of an impressive two month spell after Christmas.
But none have questioned why Andrew Robertson, who has been a revelation for title chasing Liverpool, is the pick at left-back, however. Apart from Everton hero Osman that is.
The Goodison Park legend has suggested that Digne, an £18 million signing from Barcelona last summer (BBC), deserved the place ahead of his Merseyside rival.
The France international has been a huge hit at Everton with his swashbuckling style and outstanding delivery from the left flank leading many to suggest that he has filled the void left by the ageing Leighton Baines.
Digne has scored four goals and set up five more in his debut Premier League campaign. Robertson, it must be mentioned, has nine assists to his name.
