Everton’s in-form ace Gylfi Sigurdsson struck in the win over FUlham
Leon Osman has hailed Everton ace Gylfi Sigurdsson after he starred in an emphatic 3-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees recorded just their second league win of the season thanks to three goals in the second-half at Goodison Park.
After missing a penalty with the score goalless, it looked like it wasn’t going to be Gylfi Sigurdssion’s day.
But the 29-year-old attacking midfielder responded by scoring two goals shortly after, while teammate Cenk Tosun also got on the scoresheet.
Ex-Everton ace Osman was impressed by talisman Sigurdsson for his performance and feels he was at the centre of the victory
“Since Gylfi Sigurdsson missed the penalty he has been involved in everything. He has come alive, thinking he had to rectify the error,” Osman told Final Score, as cited by BBC Sport.
Sigurdsson has managed to find some decent form this campaign under new manager Marco Silva and already has four goals in all competitions.
He looks like being a vital part of the Silva set-up in the advanced midfield role, while they have pace in abundance in wide areas to give them a strong attacking look.
Sigurdsson has proven himself to be a consistent performer in the Premier League for a number of years, but may be on course for his best season yet if he continues in the same vein of form.
