Newcastle United lost against Burnley in the Premier League on Monday.

Matt Ritchie is one of the best players on the books of Newcastle United at the moment and has done well for the Magpies so far this season.
The 28-year-old winger has provided four assists in 10 Premier League appearances for Newcastle so far this campaign.
During the 2016-17 campaign, the Scotland international scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 40 Championship starts for the Magpies.

Against Burnley at Turf Moor on Monday evening, though, Ritchie failed to do much of note.
The former Portsmouth and Swindon Town winger, who joined Newcastle from Bournemouth in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million, started the Premier League game and played for 79 minutes.
Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez decided to take off Ritchie and introduce Murphy in his place on 79 minutes, but it did not make any difference as the home team won 1-0.

Former Everton midfielder Leon Osman was following the match, and the 36-year-old gave his opinion on Benitez’s decision to take off Ritchie.
“It’s interesting that when you need a goal, you take off the guy who has created the most this season,” Osman told BBC Sport (21:38). “He has been quiet tonight though, Ritchie.”
