Ipswich Town striker Leon Best has admitted to the club’s official website that Leeds United were the better team.
Mick McCarthy’s side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Chris Wood’s goal in the 35th minute proved to be the difference between the two teams.
Best, who came on as a substitute in the second half, has admitted that Garry Monk’s side were the better team.
The 30-year-old striker has stated that the West Yorkshire outfit created more chances and kept the ball better than them.

“It was a good goal from Leeds, and you could say ‘what if we did this, or what if we had done that’ but it was just one of those days and if we had had a bit of luck we could have nicked one,” Best told Ipswich’s official website.
“We are looking forward to the next game, because that’s all you can do. They came in, played well, and were better than us today. They created more chances and kept the ball better than us.”
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, hosts Leeds had 55% of the possession, took 16 shots of which four were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.

Leeds will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Bristol City away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium in the Championship.
