Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey is one of the most in-demand wingers around.

Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has admitted to Four Four Two that he snubbed Liverpool in order to join the Bundesliga side in 2017.
Bailey, 21, has already had a well-travelled career, having started out with the Phoenix All Stars Academy in Jamaica before heading to Austria with FC Liefering.
A move to Trencin in Slovakia followed before starring with Genk, where 16 goals in 77 games earned him a big move to Bayer Leverkusen in January 2017.
With nine goals and six assists in the Bundesliga last season, Bailey established himself as one of the top young wingers in Europe, and whilst confusion surrounds his international allegiance, he is expected to leave Leverkusen soon.
One club regularly linked with Bailey is Liverpool, and the winger has now revealed to Four Four Two that he had interest from the Reds when he played for Genk, but he snubbed Jurgen Klopp for Leverkusen in order to play first-team football.
That decision has certainly paid off so far, and Klopp should actually be looking to launch a new move for Bailey in 2019, given that he wanted him nearly two years ago.

Liverpool’s front three right now – Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah – are struggling to hit top form together, and there is certainly an argument in favour of bringing in another attacker to rotate Klopp’s attacking options more regularly.
Bailey – a pacey, left-footed winger with a real eye for goal – would fit the bill perfectly, and whilst he will now cost exponentially more than he would have done two years ago, Klopp should be looking at a big 2019 move to finally lure Bailey to Anfield and with a forward line to really rival Manchester City.
