Celtic have snapped up Rosenborg teenager Leo Hjelde.

Celtic are in the market for first-team additions this summer, but have also made sure they’ve broguth in a signing for the future this week.
The Bhoys are attempting to keep defender Liam Morrison at Parkhead amid interest from German clubs, but they’ve now added a new talent in that area of the pitch.
Celtic confirmed on Monday that Norwegian teenager Leo Hjelde has joined the club from Rosenborg, signing a three-year deal with the club.
Hjelde is described as a left-sided centre back, with Celtic seemingly having high hopes for the 15-year-old as he makes the move to Glasgow.
Hjelde already has four caps for Norway’s Under-16’s, and whilst he only turns 16 next month, he’ll be fighting for football in the Celtic reserves.
The defender also has something of a famous father, as Jon Olav Hjelde – who was also on the books at Rosenborg – played in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest.
Leo will now be looking to hit great heights too, and has admitted to the club’s official website that he actually turned down other clubs in order to sign for Celtic.

The teenager added that he has already spoken to boss Neil Lennon, and called the talks ‘fantastic’, believing that Celtic are the right place for him to develop.
“It is a real honour to join Celtic, I had a number of options in front of me, but I know that Celtic is the right place for me,” said Hjelde. “I have had the opportunity to speak to many people within the club, including the manager, Neil Lennon, and that has been fantastic.”
“I know that the club will provide me with the best pathway for my future and I am really looking forward to the next few years of my career at such a fantastic club,” he added.
