Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Leo Bonatini names Queens Park Rangers’ Loftus Road as the toughest away ground he has played in.
Bonatini has been playing in the Championship in England since the summer, having joined Wolves on loan from Al-Hilal.
The 23-year-old forward, who has scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 17 Championship starts for the Wanderers so far this season, has admitted that he found it hard at Loftus Road.
The Brazlian played for the Wanderers against QPR in London in the Championship on October 28, 2017.
Bonatini actually scored for Nuno’s side, but that was not enough to prevent Rangers from picking up all three points from the match courtesy of a 2-1 win.
“Loftus Road,” Bonatini told The Daily Mail when asked to name his toughest away ground. “The game against QPR was very difficult because of the small pitch. We really like to play at Molineux.”
Bonatini’s comments should remind the QPR fans just how hard they can make it for opposition teams.
Combined with the size of the pitch and the Rangers supporters, Ian Holloway’s side can match any team in the division at Loftus Road.
Many QPR fans left the ground way before the game against Brentford on Monday evening, but the team still scored twice in injury time to draw 2-2.
Rangers can challenge for the playoffs, but they need their fans to give their support from start to finish, and Bonatini’s comments should convince them.
