Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that he has not decided whether or not to include Bernd Leno in the starting lineup against Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur, as quoted in Football365.
The Gunners will take on Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in the North London derby next weekend.
Bild Journalist Christian Falk reported on Twitter this week that Arteta has promised Leno that the Germany international goalkeeper will be in goal for the Premier League game against Spurs.
Arteta has denied the rumour and has made it clear that he has not made a decision on who will play in goal against Spurs – Leno or Aaron Ramsdale.
The Arsenal boss said about the rumour, as quoted in Football365: “I don’t know where they (reports) are coming from but they are ahead of me!
“I think I am the one who picks the team at the weekend and sometimes I read things that I haven’t decided yet.
“They give me ideas at the most, but nothing else because I haven’t made a decision for Saturday – so imagine (if I had) for the north London derby.
“We had to change something and Aaron has come here to try to make us better. We needed a result on that day and I decided to play him. That’s all.”

Bernd Leno or Aaron Ramsdale against Tottenham?
Ramsdale started against Norwich City last weekend, and it will be interesting to see if the Englishman keeps his place in the starting lineup against Burnley today.
The former Sheffield United goalkeeper did well against the Canaries and kept a clean sheet.
Arsenal have a Carabao Cup tie against AFC Wimbledon in midweek.
Leno is the more experienced goalkeeper, but Ramsdale has kept clean sheets in both of his appearances for the Gunners so far.
