The Northern Irishman is preparing for his first season in charge of the Scottish Premiership side.
Leigh Griffiths believes that with a couple of additions, Celtic have the potential in their squad to blow teams away once they get to grips with the philosophy that Brendan Rodgers is trying to instil in the side, Herald Scotland reports.
The Hoops are going for their sixth Scottish Premiership crown in a row this season. And while former manager Ronny Deila was able to continue their run of successive league titles, one of the reasons that his tenure will not be deemed overly successful is the fact that the style of play under his leadership was often disappointing.
But Griffiths has insisted that Rodgers has already given them the confidence to know that they can comfortably outplay teams, before suggesting that a couple of new faces would make them almost unstoppable.
“The way the boys are thinking, and the way the manager wants to play, if it goes the way we want and comes off perfectly, we’ll just blow teams away,” he told Herald Scotland.
“But that’s down to us players to execute that match plan. If we do that, we’ll really hurt teams. We need to be even more ruthless than we were last season. I’m sure the gaffer has said before that he’s inherited a very good squad. The quality is obvious. If he can add one or two that will make us a formidable force.”

The belief that Rodgers has already instilled in the squad is evident in Griffiths’ assessment of their chances of success next season.
Though the Bhoys often looked out of form last term, they won the title quite comfortably in the end, and the new manager may be telling his players about what they could be capable of achieving if they put their foot on the accelerator and rediscover the aura that they had arguably lost during the final months of Deila’s tenure.
