The Celtic player has sent a message ahead of their latest league game.
Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has taken to social media ahead of his side’s Scottish Premiership game against Hamilton this weekend.
The Bhoys are currently four points behind league leaders Aberdeen, but Ronny Deila’s men have a game in hand and with Griffiths proving increasingly prolific in front of goal they will be quietly confident of taking three points this afternoon.
Celtic drew their last league game 0-0 against Hearts and saw a two-goal lead slip in the Europa League against Fenerbahce last week, but Griffiths has called for his side to go into the international break with another win under their belts.
Writing on Twitter on Sunday morning, the Scotland international said, “Huge game today. Let’s go into the international break on the back of a win; chance to close the gap at the top.”
Griffiths has already scored 11 goals in 17 matches this season, including seven in nine league matches, so Deila will be hoping the Celtic star continues in that rich vein of form for the foreseeable future.
