Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic failed to win against St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Friday.
Ntcham started for Celtic in their Scottish Premiership game agains St. Mirren away from home last Friday evening.
The Frenchman was expected to play a major role for Brendan Rodgers’s side, but the youngster was sent off for two bookable offences in the 37th minute.
Celtic striker Griffiths has revealed that he knew that 22-year-old French midfielder – who joined the Hoops from Manchester City in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £4.5 million – was going to sent off as soon as he started running towards St Mirren defender Stephen McGinn.
The 28-year-old told The Glasgow Evening Times: “I called the second booking straight away. I thought ‘uh-uh’. Scott Sinclair was sitting next to me and we thought he’d be off. It was a striker’s challenge, if you like.”

Celtic’s overall performance against St. Mirren was disappointing, and Brendan Rodgers’s side now have to move on.
The Glasgow giants will return to action on Thursday evening when they take on Rosenborg at Celtic Park in the Europa League.
Meanwhile, Celtic striker Griffiths has given his take on Scotland manager Alex McLeish’s suggestion that Steven Naismith will be the team’s first-choice striker for next month’s UEFA Nations League match against Israel
Griffiths told The Daily Record: “It’s a kick in the teeth. Not just for me but for all the strikers. It’s an incentive to work hard at our clubs and try to change his mind. I was surprised as well but these things happen.”
