Celtic earned a 3-1 win over Partick on Saturday in the Scottish League Cup.

Leigh Griffiths has welcomed the return of striker Moussa Dembele when talking to BT Sport despite being in direct competition for a place in the starting eleven alongside the Celtic hitman.
Griffiths, 28, opened his account for the season with a simple chance against Partick, putting Celtic 1-0 up over Alan Archibald’s side at Firhill with a left-footed effort from eight yards out after good work from Scott Sinclair.
But Brendan Rodgers’ men got sloppy with 20 minutes left on the clock, and Andrea Mutumbo equalised with an excellent finish past Scott Bain. But Cristian Gamboa almost single-handedly saved the Hoops.
He supplied substitute Dembele with a low cross, who expertly tucked the ball home before supplying Tom Rogic to do exactly the same – just three minutes apart. Griffiths has welcomed Dembele back from injury.
“Moussa’s just back from injury and I think the gaffer was just easing him back in,” Griffiths said.
““It was great to see him back out there and fully fit. Obviously as a striker you want to be selfish but you want your best players available and it’s great to have him back”.

Griffiths and Dembele remain in contention along with club-record signing Odsonne Edouard to start up front, with Rodgers preferring to have three top strikers in his squad with the Hoops competing on four fronts.
Celtic are next in action on Thursday night in the Europa League play-off round. They face Lithuanian side FK Suduva away from home, before playing host to Hamilton on Sunday.
