Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths looks dejected
Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has told The Scottish Sun that Bruno Alves is a good signing for Rangers.
Rangers recently competed the signing of Alves following the defender’s departure from Italian club Cagliari at the end of the 2016-17 season.
The 35-year-old centre-back is past his best, but in his prime the Portugal international defender was one of the best players in his position in the world.

Celtic star Griffiths, who is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, has praised the signing of Alves by Rangers.
“Bruno Alves is a good solid defender and is playing in the Confederations Cup with Portugal,” Griffiths told The Scottish Sun. “He’ll be a good addition.”
Alves is a very experienced defender who is only going to enhance the quality of the current Rangers squad.
The 35-year-old centre-back will be important for Pedro Caixinha’s side if the Gers are to progress to the group stage of the Europa League next season.
Rangers finished third in the Scottish Premiership last season and will be aiming to at least compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic for the league title during the 2017-18 campaign.
