Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have reportedly received a boost in their quest to sign Youri Tielemans from Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
The Sun reported in March that Arsenal are leading Manchester United in the race for Leicester midfielder Tielemans.
And The Daily Mail are now reporting that the Foxes ‘will actively consider bids for Tielemans’, who has yet to sign a new deal.
Youri Tielemans boost for Arsenal
In our opinion, Leicester willing to sell Tielemans in the summer transfer window is a boost for Arsenal.
This means that the Gunners would find it easier to negotiate with Leicester over a transfer fee for the Belgium international midfielder, described as “an incredible talent” by former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson on Sky Sports News (12:59pm, October 23, 2021).

Arsenal could play in the Champions League next season, and manager Mikel Arteta will need reinforcement in midfield.
Tielemans is 24 now, and, in our opinion, he is at the right age to take the next step in his career and move to a massive club such as Arsenal.
The Belgian has made 25 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leicester this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in the process.
