Leicester have the unwelcome position of being bottom of the table at Christmas, and are desperate to pick up some points. They face a Tottenham side that is starting to get some momentum behind them under Mauricio Pochettino.

To be played on Friday 26th December 2014 at 15:00. Venue: King Power Stadium, Leicester

Odds: Leicester 14/5, Draw 13/5, Tottenham 11/10

Nigel Pearson is keen to put off the field affairs behind him after he served a one match touchline ban for an altercation with a fan – something which he admitted himself was pointless. The ideal way to do that would be to get their first win since September at the King Power Stadium to get themselves within striking distance of moving out of the bottom three.

Leicester are currently rooted to the bottom of the table, and are five points from safety. Spurs, by contrast, are starting to pick up a bit of form.

Harry Kane is finding the net on a regular basis, helping his side to a run of form which has seen them win four of their last six Premier League games. They are four points behind the Champions League places and with a difficult fixture against Manchester United on the horizon, they will view this game as a must win.

Expect captain Younes Kaboul to miss out again, with Mauricio Pochettino suggesting that even if you are club captain, that doensn’t make you a guaranteed starter, with the Frenchman currently out of favour.

“It’s a busy run of games, but that gives us a chance to turn things around quickly and that starts on Boxing Day.”
Nigel Pearson

“We feel very confident so if everyone continues like this then we can win at Leicester”
