Leicester City are reportedly set to suffer a big blow in the race for Bayer Leverkusen striker Adam Hlozek this summer.
Steve Cooper took the reins at Leicester City this summer after former manager Enzo Maresca was seduced by the chance of managing at Chelsea.
As a result, the Foxes turned to former Nottingham Forest manager Cooper and the Welshman has been busy this summer.
Leicester City lost Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea earlier this summer but the Foxes have brought in Issahaku Fatawu from Sporting Lisbon and Atalanta centre-back Caleb Okoli.
The foxes wanted a new forward addition but it appears they’ve been usurped.

Leicester usurped in race for Bayer Leverkusen’s Adam Hlozek
HITC had reported that Leicester were in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a deal for Adam Hlozek with the Czech Republic striker set to move to the King Power Stadium this summer.
We reported that Leicester were close to striking a deal that would have seen Hlozek arrive on an initial loan with an obligation to make the move permanent for £15 million.
However, there has been a fresh twist in the race for the Czech forward with Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg reporting that another side have come in at the 11th hour to steal the forward away from the Foxes.
The post on X from Plettenberg claims that TSG Hoffenheim have entered the race for the forward and have made strides to get a deal done.
Plettenberg states Hoffenheim and Xabi Alonso’s side are close to completing the negotiation for a fee of around €17-18 million (£14-£15 million). The two clubs are reportedly sorting out the details of bonus payments.
Missing out on Hlozek would be a big blow
Losing one of Leicester’s key players to Chelsea this summer already put a stain on the summer for fans of the Foxes.
Hlozek had been compared to iconic Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the 20-year-old having a rather large frame and elite technical ability on the ball.
For just £15 million, Leicester could have had one of the bargains of the summer but, if reports are to be believed, the Foxes are set to miss out on the Czech Republic forward to Hoffenheim.
