The England international must decide on whether to turn his back on the team he led to the Premier League title last season, for a new beginning.
Commenting on Twitter, Savage says if he was in Vardy’s position, he would sign for the Gunners.
Vardy is currently with the England side as they prepare for Euro 2016, where he is expected to play a prominent role.
The Leicester striker scored 24 goals in 36 games last season on his way to winning the Premier League, and was named as the Football Writers Player of the Year for his achievements, with Riyad Mahrez winning the PFA award.
The 29-year-old will not want to risk his future becoming a distraction ahead of the European Championships, and could choose to decide in the coming days before the tournament begins.
