Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing the Barcelona forward.

Leicester boss Claude Puel will be desperate to bolster his attacking options at the King Power Stadium this summer, what with Islam Slimani’s future growing increasingly more uncertain with every day that passes.
One of the Frenchman’s key transfer targets this summer is Barcelona’s £27 million-rated Paco Alcacer, according to Spanish publication Sport, but does the Spaniard have what it takes to help take the Foxes to another level this season?
The 24-year-old joined Barca from Valencia in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £25.5 million, but he has hardly been a success at the Nou Camp.
Alcacer has scored just 15 goals in 50 appearances for Barca, and he has really struggled to make a name for himself with the Catalan giants.
The Spaniard offers little to his team in regards to link-up play either, and with his lack of physical strength and diminutive stature, it is unlikely that he would hit the ground running in England, what with the robust nature of the Premier League.

Whilst Leicester are far from short of cash, they cannot afford to be wasteful with their money, and spending £27 million on the 13-capped Spain international would surely be a massive risk for club like the Foxes.
Puel might just be better served in avoiding a move for Alcacer, and instead target a striker with proven Premier League pedigree.
