Leicester City must rediscover the hunger they displayed last season and in their 3-1 win over Crystal Palace in order to improve their league form.

Leicester City have just three wins from nine games and sit in 12th place in league. A far cry from their league form of last season, when they lost just three games all season.
However, the Foxes have made an excellent impression in their maiden Champions League campaign, producing a perfect start in their three games.

It seems the squad has thrived on their underdog status, but now that their Premier League opponents are taking them more seriously, they aren’t the force they were last season.
Yet, there is another aspect of their game that has been on display in Europe but not at home. Hunger.
The Foxes possessed a hunger and a drive that surpassed that of all their opponents, and it propelled them to a first-ever Premier League trophy.
That hunger needs to be on show in the league once again. It was certainly evident in their 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Ahmed Musa was hungry for his first Premier League goal. Shinji Okazaki was hungry to end his goalless streak. Christian Fuchs was hungry for his first goal for the club (finally!).

That hunger and desire was what led the Foxes to just their third league victory of the season. It’s what has led them to three wins from three in the Champions League.
Star players Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have sometimes been guilty of lacking that at times this season, and while Claudio Ranieri is obviously rotating in favour of European football, it may have been a factor in both players seeing time on the bench this season.

Leicester have a deceptively deep squad. If players truly begin to fight for their places, and fight for points like they have done before, they will finish the season proudly both domestically and in Europe.
