Leicester City forward Harvey Barnes has commented on reports that he will be recalled from his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion.

Barnes has been a fantastic signing for the Baggies. He has scored five goals and provided two assists in the Championship, and his understanding with Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle is a key reason why West Brom are the current top scorers in the division.
His form could cost West Brom however. The Daily Mail reported this week that parent club Leicester are looking at activating a recall clause in his loan deal that will allow him to return in January. But Barnes insisted that he is currently unaware of any plans to take him back to King Power Stadium in the winter.
“At the minute a full season is what’s been agreed, so at the minute in my head that is what’s going to happen, I’m going to be staying there for the season,” he said, as reported by Leicestershire Live. “I don’t know if anything will change or not, we will have to see. But, yeah, at the minute the plan is to have a full season at West Brom.

“I’m enjoying myself. I don’t know what will happen but we will see. I’m enjoying myself so I hope it continues.”
It would be a huge boost for West Brom if they manage to keep Barnes for the entirety of the season. He is arguably establishing himself as one of the most dangerous players in the division, and he should only get better in the coming weeks and months.

Darrren Moore’s men currently occupy an automatic-promotion spot and will be many people’s tips to get back into the top flight at the first time of asking.
But that confidence that the Baggies will make an immediate return to the top flight will wane slightly should Leicester decide to bring Barnes back during the January transfer window.
