A number of Leicester City fans have taken to Twitter to comment on their side’s League Cup quarter-final draw, which has handed them an away trip to Everton on Wednesday 18 December (7:45pm kickoff).

The Foxes triumphed against Burton Albion last time out, racing into a two-goal lead by the 20th minute of the game through Kelechi Iheanacho and Youri Tielemans.

Although Liam Boyce halved the deficit with a 20-yard effort for the hosts, James Maddison’s late close-range effort made sure of victory for Brendan Rodgers’ high-flyers.

Leicester, three-times winners of the tournament, will be playing their fourth successive tie away from home, having won on the road at Newcastle United, Luton Town and Burton to progress to the last eight.

Everton, meanwhile, overcame Lincoln City and Sheffield Wednesday in rounds two and three respectively before seeing off Watford last time out, and will be taking on the East Midlands side for the first time in this competition.

Here is some of the Foxes fans’ reaction to the draw on social media:

Elsewhere in the draw, Aston Villa will take on Liverpool, Oxford United will host Manchester City, and Manchester United will take on Colchester United at Old Trafford.
