The Foxes striker says Puel’s possession-based philosophy doesn’t suit him, but despite pledging to keep working on it, some fans are feeling alarmed.

Some Leicester City fans have expressed alarm after Jamie Vardy admitted Claude Puel’s style of play does not suit him.
The former England striker has scored just five goals in the Premier League this season (Transfermarkt), compared to 20 last term and 24 in the league title season under Claudio Ranieri.
In addition, Vardy has often looked isolated in games under Puel, but the 31-year-old vowed to do all he can to adapt to the former Southampton head coach’s tactics.
Asked if Puel’s possession-based philosophy suits him, Vardy told Sky Sports News: “Does it? No, but is that down to me to adapt to it? Yes. And obviously the only way I’m going to do that and keep progressing is working hard on the training field.
“It does get a bit frustrating but we are transitioning into a different style of play. I think we’ve just got to keep working hard on it and eventually it will get us going forward that bit quicker because when we get into attacking positions eventually the ball will get picked out for some of my runs.”
Puel has found himself under criticism from some Foxes fans over the past few weeks over issues like team selection and tactics, with the Carabao Cup loss against Manchester City prompting some supporters to call for his sacking on Twitter.

In the league, Leicester currently sit 12th in the table, although with just three points separating them from seventh-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers, they could spend Christmas higher than their current position.
Nonetheless, Vardy’s comments have been met with concern by some Foxes faithful, who spoke out online about how they’d rather see Puel out than a potential winter exit for their main marksman:
Vardy has been struggling with a groin problem and missed the midweek cup defeat to Man City, but is expected to be reinstated to Leicester’s starting XI for Saturday’s trip to Chelsea.
