Leicester City fans react on Twitter to new Marc Albrighton deal

The Foxes midfielder and Premier League champion has committed to 2022. Here is how some fans reacted.

Leicester City have announced on their official site and on social media that Marc Albrighton has signed a new contract at the King Power Stadium until the summer of 2022.

The 29-year-old has made 176 appearances for the Foxes since joining on a free transfer from Aston Villa in 2014 and was a key member of the squad which won the Premier League title in 2015-16.

That season, Albrighton played all 38 league games, scoring twice and claiming seven assists along the way, but he was also crucial in the prior campaign, in which the Foxes successfully staved off relegation from the top flight.

Following on from the triumphant title-winning season, the midfielder was responsible for other great moments for the Foxes faithful, including goals against Club Brugge and Sevilla in the Champions League, plus strikes against Manchester City in both the Premier League and the Carabao Cup.
