Leicester City are strongly interested in signing Norwegian international winger Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Leicester have identified Mohamed Elyounoussi as a serious contender to replace wantaway Riyad Mahrez.
Former PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez has consistently been linked with moves away from the West Midlands club, with a potential move to Manchester City falling through in January.
Mahrez currently has 10 goals and seven assists to his name in 32 contests, while Elyounoussi boasts a tally of seven goals and 13 assists from 31 games.
ESPN claim that Arsenal and Southampton are also weighing up moves for Mohamed Elyounoussi, with the Foxes and the Saints known to be long-term admirers.

Leicester’s interest in the versatile winger can be traced as far back as 2016, while they were flying high at the summit of the Premier League.
However, the Foxes also sent scouts to watch Elyounoussi in action after he had moved from Molde to Basel in February 2017.
The trickster played a crucial role in Basel’s shock 2-1 win at Manchester City on Wednesday night, scoring one and assisting the other for the visitors.
His performance prompted Pep Guardiola’s praise, with the 22-year-old telling Blick: “Pep Guardiola came to me after the match and said I did a good job!”.

Basel are aware of the interest in their player and are braced for a flurry of bids when the summer transfer window opens.
Elyounoussi’s agent, Ferhat Cifici, has confirmed a great deal of interest in his player, telling ESPN: “The boy is ready to make the next step in his career and I have a lot of meetings planned with clubs so we will see what happens.”
