The Leicester City striker is attracting interest from Everton, but he would be ideal for Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Spurs enjoyed a successful 2016/17 Premier League campaign this season, on the most part, but Mauricio Pochettino will have to think of new and inventive ways in which to improve his squad, if he hopes to take the one step further next term.
Although the Argentine has a penchant for signing un-polished young gems, and turning them into world beaters, he should consider making a move for a more experienced striker with Premier League experience this summer, and more specifically, he should target a forward who can offer something different to Harry Kane.
With this in mind, Tottenham should seriously consider making a move for Foxes striker Jamie Vardy. The Express are reporting that Everton are currently leading the race to sign the pacey front-man, and Spurs should do all they can to gazump the Merseysiders.

The 16-capped England international has proven his quality at the highest level, and despite scoring just 13 Premier League goals this term, compared to the 24 he bagged last season, he still has so much to offer.
Crucially, from Spurs’ perspective, he possesses totally different qualities to Harry Kane, and would offer Pochettino’s side a contrasting option to the 23-year-old.
One criticism of Tottenham down the stretch was that they became too predictable in their play, and rather one-dimensional at times, so the addition of Jamie Vardy could make all the difference next term.
His pace and direct playing style would be the ideal foil for Kane, if Poch decided on deploying two strikers, with Dele Alli slotted in just behind the pair.

He could be equally as effective if used as an impact sub, however, being brought on with 20 or 30 minutes left to play, when things are not going to plan. A prime example of this is the game that Tottenham lost to West Ham during the title run-in, when a different approach would have surely helped them break down the Hammers’ stubborn back-line.
Vardy is under contract at the King Power Stadium until the summer of 2020, so he will not come cheap, but Tottenham will benefit greatly by having him amongst their squad, so should do everything within their power to bring him to north London this summer.
